As we all wait for it all to be perfect — me too — let’s remind ourselves that the beginning of the story is not as important as the end when it comes to just about anything.
Your first novel isn’t going to be good. But it allows you to write a better one the second time. And the third.
Your first podcast will not be listened to much.
Your first video won’t be watched by most, including even your friends and family.
Remember that Instagram is completely different from its first day, when it was called Burbn. It started as an app to let users check-in to locations, make future plans with acquaintances, earn points for hanging out with friends, and post pictures. It launched with too many features. Users only liked one of them: adding photos.
So, quit trying to build it perfect. Just start. And adjust. And add something. And then take something away.
START. If you take the advice, I promise to follow it as well.
START.
START.
START.
START.
All together now. jc
